Job Description – Crew Leader
$13- $16 per hour – depending on experience
Purpose and Description
The Crew Leader is responsible for performing a wide variety of landscape & lawn care maintenance functions related to but not limited to leading crews for mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, and landscape install and irrigation maintenance.
*Must be Self- motivated, hardworking, dependable, and responsible
Requirements
- Must have 2 years experience in landscaping & mowing
- Must have valid Missouri or Kansas driver’s license and social security number
- Neat and clean appearance
- Adhere to company policies, standards and safety guidelines.
- Effectively drive and back-up a truck and trailer combination.
- Must be able to interact with customer daily as needed, communicate with team and lead.
- Meet or exceed company production rates set forth.
Physical Demands
- Have full range of mobility in upper and lower body in order to be able to work in various positions including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting, and walking for extended periods of time.
- Ability to handle and operate powered equipment
- Be able to lift and move heavy items up to 80 lbs or more
Daily Responsibilities
- Works with the Maintenance Production Manager in regards to any routing or scheduling/work sharing issues.
- Works with crew to ensure that departure goal is met each morning. Goal is 15 minutes in and out of the shop in the morning.
- Make sure crews have all equipment and supplies needed for daily work including any special order inventory needed for odd work orders to be completed.
- Influence positive attitude of staff through effective use of management and interpersonal skills.
- Coordinate & execute requests from Maintenance Production Manager and/or Owner.
- Ensures all tools and equipment are accounted for to and from job sites.
